FLAW & ORDER - ALBUM ART, LOGO, & POSTER DESIGN

Flaw & Order is a progressive rock with influences of jazz and post rock.

I worked on logo design, poster design as well band assets for this project.

The logo visually references the DNA helix which to me, felt like a great representation of something that combines flaws and order in a poetic way.

Since the early 1990s, Japan has seen hundreds of thousands 'disappear' into big cities, leaving behind their identities to escape personal crises like divorce, bankruptcy, or mental health issues. This phenomenon, known as 'Johatsu' or 'the evaporated people,' is the central theme of FLAW & ORDER's debut instrumental album. The music aims to raise awareness about mental health, with most track titles crafted from acronyms of common mental illnesses.

SECRET SOUNDS - ALBUM ART DESIGN

I metamorphosed a 15m concrete chamber at the Borderland festival in Sweden alongside Jakob Hedlund, Nora Fager & Annika Winberg into a Secret Sounds Soundbath Silo.

I blended my 6-string bass guitar's deep resonance through the Hologram Microcosm and metal pipes and gongs' gentle whispers for a soul-soothing ambience. Seven distinct, intimate one-on-one performances. It was really fucking cool to sit across a single person and perform, especially for them.

Crafting chords and soundscapes on-the-fly, tailoring the journey, exploring metallic echoes within this hidden silo.

BLACK IS... - LOGO, FONT STYLE & POSTER DESIGN

Black Is... celebrates Black music, dance, and community—a safe space for joy, love, and representation. This gender-inclusive project, based in Amsterdam and Berlin and founded in 2023, champions BIPOC artists and allies across the music and dance scenes. It’s about creating a platform for DJs, musicians, promoters, and dancers who bring essential perspectives to these spaces but are often marginalized.

Black Is... lifts up voices, gives flowers to supporters, and builds a network where BIPOC can carve their own place, without waiting for permission. This table is ours.

The poster is created in collaboration with an illustration by Filipino-Australian artist John-Ernest Dinamarca, who is alluding to various symbols from POC cultures on a symbolic hand of fate. The poster design elevates the illustration by creating textures that employ various skin and paper textures from Black and Indigenous cultures in a subtle magnifying manner. The poster was placed in locations in Berlin to announce the release of the label/collective and event series.

VIBRATIONS - LOGO, ARTWORK FOR MIXES,

Vibrations is a mix series created by my close friend Mohammed El Amin—a monthly, three-hour dive into the sounds that resonate most deeply each month. The only guidelines are simple: 1) only music discovered or listened to that month, and 2) absolutely no genre boundaries. Starting in 2024, Vibrations will also highlight friends whose tastes Mo admires but who don’t have a regular platform to share their selections.
Check it out here: MIXCLOUD LINK
I designed these vibrant, dynamic covers for the mixes, which will continue to be used and represent a unique event series. This series will bring together diverse selectors from around the world for special B2B and B3B sets, showcasing their unique tastes and talents.

The logo reflects the personality of the mix and includes a nod to Sunn O))), a favorite of mine and Mo’s that has been part of the identity of Vibrations from the start. The 'vibrations' on the O are deliberately imperfect, as if distorted by bass, reminiscent of vintage printed logos with ink that seems to 'misbehave.'

ATHEROGENIC - ALBUM ART DESIGN

This is an album art I created for the experimental metal artist Atherogenic.
Hailing from Scotland, now based in Stockholm, Sweden the multi-talented instrumentalist Gary Walker, created this album combining craftfully elements of progressive metal and atmospheric black metal with soft acoustic passages. You can listen to the album in it’s entirety here: SPOTIFY LINK
