AKSHAY GITE - sic
Akshay Gite, performing as sic, is a Berlin-based sound artist, composer, radio host and curator, born in Mumbai and previously based in Stockholm. His practice moves through electroacoustic composition, semi-modular synthesis, sarod, bass, tape and field recording, exploring migration, oral memory, language and care. He hosts Ambient Narratives on THF Radio and co-founded Dwelling, a seated listening series for ambient and experimental music.
An electroacoustic performance and forthcoming album built around lullabies recorded with singers, parents and caregivers across multiple languages. Voice, sarod, bass, tape, field recordings and electronic processing are used to explore oral memory, migration and care.
A series of one-to-one improvised performances inside a 15-metre concrete chamber. Six-string bass, processed electronics, metal pipes and gongs created individual sound journeys shaped by the architecture and resonance of the silo.
