Akshay Gite
Senior Product Designer · Berlin
I'm a senior product designer working across early-stage products, design systems, AI-assisted workflows, and culture-facing technology. I'm Akshay Gite, a musician and founding team member at OHR.FM. Based in Berlin, originally from Bombay — with 7 years in between spent in Stockholm building products for IKEA, H&M, Husqvarna, Airalo, and frog.

I design products that sit close to culture, behaviour, and systems. Apps, design systems, AI tools, B2B platforms, music technology. Currently freelance — available for product sprints, 0→1 design, and workshops with early-stage teams.
At OHR.FM- I'm shaping a music discovery platform for DJs, labels, diggers, and community radio — from product vision to shipped interface. Before that I founded Altrue, a social donation product exploring how small recurring contributions and better giving habits can move real money to high-impact causes.
As sic, I make ambient and experimental music from synthesis, field recordings, bass, and memory. My current project Noise Lullabies moves through lullabies, migration, oral tradition, and cultural memory. I host Ambient Narratives on THF Radio and occasionally on Refuge Worldwide — shows about the emotional and cultural stories behind sound and the people who make it.
I run Dwelling Sessions in Berlin — ambient and deep listening evenings built around care, quietude, wine, and slow sound. Earlier I co-ran Sum Collective in Stockholm, a rave and DIY event community rooted in underground electronic music and visual identity.
I design for musicians — album art, posters, visual systems, event communication. I've played bass and synths in Petrichor (progressive death metal) and Professorn (Stockholm krautrock and improvised jazz). I also build things with code.
If any of this overlaps with what you're making, thinking about, or trying to find — I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
